Nick Rimando and Bryan Meredith were called on to make just three saves between them Wednesday in bringing about a 0-0 tie between Seattle and Real Salt Lake. Rimando saved one shot for Salt Lake and Meredith recorded his third shutout of the season for the Sounders. Salt Lake's Fabian Espindola narrowly missed a left-footed attempt from outside the box in the 83rd minute for one of the few close calls of the game. It was the ninth straight game without a victory for Seattle (7-5-6). Salt Lake (10-6-3) had lost its previous three games.
