Logan Pause scored the equalizer in the 27th minute Sunday and the Chicago Fire held on for a 1-1 draw with Houston in a rain-shortened contest. Pause tallied on a set-piece for Chicago, firing a shot from outside the box into the high center of the net off an assist by Pavel Pardo. The marker erased a 1-0 Dyanmo lead established only 3 minutes earlier when Brian Ching got a through-ball to Will Bruin, who scored on a left-footed shot from the left side of the box. The match was delayed 70 minutes due to heavy rain and lightning in suburban Chicago and was eventually called off at the 65-minute mark. The Fire (1-1-2) remained without a win since March 23, while the Dynamo (2-1-1) sustained their first loss of the season.
