Federer pulls out of Paris masters

Tennis number one seed Roger Federer said Monday that he will not participate in the Paris Masters next week, after he lost the Swiss Indoors finals to Juan Martin Del Potro. Del Potro won 6-4, 6-7, 7-6 in the final. Federer said today that he has informed the tournament director that participation would be “too much” for him. Federer said that he needed to rest and recover from a number of niggles before playing again. Federer one the Paris Masters last year. He said that withdrawing from the competition this year was “Disappointing.”
