New Zealand's top-ranked tennis player Marina Erakovic has been knocked out of the Bogota Open in Colombia today, suffering a straight sets defeat in the second round. Erakovic, who was the tournament's top seed, lost 6-4 6-4 to world No 128 Edina Gollovits-Hall of Romania. The New Zealander struggled with her serve throughout the match with five double faults and a first serve percentage of just 49 per cent. She also failed to make the most of her few chances winning just one break point from five opportunities. It's a missed opportunity for the world No 58 after the seven other seeded players also failed to reach the quarter-finals, leaving the clay-surface tournament wide open.
