Former Ireland batsman turned England captain Eoin Morgan (124 not out) and Ravi Bopara (101 not out) starred for the visitors with a one-day international fifth-wicket record partnership of 226 after their side had collapsed to 48 for four chasing 270 for victory. Earlier, Ireland captain William Porterfield made 112 in his side's 269 for seven, with former Ireland fast bowler Boyd Rankin taking four wickets for 46 runs on his ODI debut for England.
