Stephen Curry scored 20 points to lead the United States collection of NBA stars in a 112-86 romp over Puerto Rico in a Basketball World Cup warm-up match.
The Americans also saw the return of Derrick Rose, who had sat out an exhibition victory two nights earlier over the Dominican Republic. Rose scored six points while passing out four assists in 13 minutes at Madison Square Garden.
A final US 12-man lineup must be settled by next Friday when the Americans try to defend their global crown at the Basketball World Cup in Spain starting August 30 against Finland. A win there would clinch a berth at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
Puerto Rico stayed level with the Americans at 24-24 through the first quarter, but a 16-4 US run in the second half put the hosts in front to stay.
US coach Mike Krzyzewski and national team managing director Jerry Colangelo were set to make the final cuts from the squad and notify players Saturday ahead of the team's departure for Europe on a charter plane.
The Americans improved to 3-0 in Basketball World Cup warm-up games ahead of a final exhibition Tuesday against Slovenia.
