Gary Nova threw two touchdown passes and Duron Harmon ran a blocked field goal back 75 yards for a touchdown Saturday in No. 19 Rutgers 23-15 win over Syracuse. Nova completed 14-of-23 passes for 152 yards for the undefeated Scarlet Knights (6-0, 3-0 Big East) and the defense forced four turnovers. Rutgers kept Syracuse (2-4, 1-1) off the board for much of the second half. Syracuse, however, racked up 418 yards of total offense to 237 for Rutgers. Harmon's TD off a blocked field goal broke a 7-7 tie and gave Rutgers the lead for good with 11:27 to play in the third quarter. Brandon Coleman had six catches for 104 yards for Rutgers. Jawan Jamison ran the ball 28 times for 64 yards and a touchdown. Ryan Nassib completed 25 of 42 passes for 356 yards and a TD for Syracuse. The Orange lost to Rutgers for the sixth time in eight meetings.
