Oregon State's Cody Vaz hurled three touchdown passes Saturday and the No. 17 Beavers got back on the winning track with a 77-3 dismantling of Nicholls State. Vaz went 14-of-17 for 190 passing yards and Storm Woods logged two first-quarter touchdowns as for the Beavers (9-3) bounced back from a 48-24 loss to Oregon in their annual "Civil War" contest last week. Sean Mannion fired two scoring strikes en route to 231 passing yards on 20-of-23 efficiency for Oregon State. Markus Wheaton made 12 grabs for 123 yards and scored twice for the Beavers. Landry Klann was intercepted twice for the Colonels (1-10), completing 19-of-32 pass attempts for 161 yards in his team's eighth straight loss.
