Adrian Marcus also made a scoring grab as Mississippi State continued its best start since 1999. The Wildcats (1-5, 0-3) dropped their fourth consecutive game. Quarterback Patrick Towles suffered an ankle injury at the end of the second quarter. Jalen Whitlow entered and went 10-of-21 through the air for 73 yards while also rushing for 26 yards and a touchdown.
