The 15th-ranked San Diego State Aztecs won their ninth straight game Tuesday by dispatching cross-town rival Point Loma Nazarene 76-49. Xavier Thomas led the Aztecs (9-1) with 15 points and James Rahon tacked on nine. San Diego State shot 54.9 percent from the field and outscored Div. II Point Loma (2-7) 41-19 in the second half. Taylor Wetherell scored 10 points for the Sea Lions, who lost their fifth consecutive game. Arren Wells came off the bench to score seven points on 3-for-9 shooting in only 12 minutes. The Aztecs led by a relatively slim 35-30 margin at halftime but opened it up to 45-33 in the first four minutes of the second half.
