Devoe Joseph had 25 points and six assists Tuesday to lead Oregon to a 96-76 rout of LSU in a first-round National Invitational Tournament contest. Garrett Sim scored 15 points, Tony Woods had 14, and E.J. Singler and Carlos Emory each scored 11 for the Ducks (23-9), who advance to a second-round game against Iowa. Justin Hamilton had 21 points and nine rebounds to lead the Tigers (18-15), who got 14 points from Ralston Turner and 12 from Johnny O'Bryant. Andre Stringer had 10 points and six assists. LSU got off to an early five-point lead but Oregon took control -- shooting 54.8 percent and hitting on 5-of-10 from long range to go up 50-33 at the half. The Ducks got even hotter after the break, shooting 60.7 percent from the field in the second half. LSU gave up 22 points on 17 turnovers.
