The scheduled game between Marquette and fourth-ranked Ohio State was canceled Friday due to condensation on the makeshift court built on an aircraft carrier. It was to have been the second Carrier Classic with the deck of the USS Yorktown hosting the contest. Moisture began to appear on the court as the teams went through their warm-ups and the contest was eventually wiped out after it became clear the court could not be properly dried. The game is not expected to be rescheduled. A women's game took place on the court earlier in the day with no problems -- Notre Dame downing Ohio State in that one 57-51. Last year's Carrier Classic took place in San Diego Harbor between North Carolina and Michigan State. The USS Carl Vinson was the host on that occasion.
