Castres will face Toulouse in the Top 14 semi-finals after a 31-15 defeat of Montpellier in their play-off on Friday. For Castres the win earned them a first appearance in the semi-finals since 2001. Pierre Bernard and Romain Teulet were responsible for kicking 26 points combined as Montpellier, missing regular scrum halfs Julien Tomass and Benoit Paillaugue, suffered in the scrums. On Saturday, Toulon face Racing Metro in the second play-off. Castres' semi-final with Toulouse is scheduled for June 2. This win was revenge for Castres after they lost 18-17 at home at the same stage last year to Montpellier.
