World number seven Tomas Berdych will lead defending champions the Czech Republic in the Davis Cup final against Serbia in Belgrade on November 15-17, team captain Jaroslav Navratil said on Thursday. Playing in the final for the third time in five years, the Czechs also named 44th-ranked Lukas Rosol, Radek Stepanek (46) and Jan Hajek (109) to face 2010 champions Serbia led by world number two Novak Djokovic. "The team is the best possible one," Navratil said. "We know it's going to be wild over there, we must focus on our performance as always," added Stepanek, at 35 the oldest member of the team. The Czechs, who won the 2012 trophy by beating Spain 3-2 in Prague, eased past Switzerland, Kazakhstan and Argentina on their way to the final on the hardcourt of the Belgrade Arena. The 2012 Davis Cup triumph was the first for the Czechs since Czechoslovakia, which split peacefully into the Czech Republic and Slovakia in 1993, won the trophy in 1980 with a team led by then 20-year-old Ivan Lendl.
