Beholder led from the start in Friday's $2 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies and held on late to win by 1 length. Executiveorivilege, previously undefeated in five starts, finished second with Dreaming of Julia third. Beholder, a Kentucky-bred daughter of Henny Hughes, sprinted quickly to the lead under jockey Garrett Gomez, slowed things down on the backstretch while opening a daylight lead, then skimmed the fence down the stretch to hold on for the win. She finished the 1 1/16 miles on a fast track in 1:43.61. Beholder, trained by Richard Mandella, had finished behind Executiveprivilege the first two times they met. She now is 3-for-5. Dreaming of Julia came into the race undefeated in three starts, all in New York.
