Brook Lopez (15 points, eight rebounds) and Kris Humphries (14, 10) helped out with double-doubles, and Andray Blatche provided 13 points and eight boards for Brooklyn. The Trail Blazers, meanwhile, began a seven-game road trip on a losing note despite 20 points from Wesley Matthews. J.J. Hickson donated 19 and 10 rebounds for Portland.
