The 16-year veteran started for the 423rd time in his career, and this was his sixth shutout. Millwood (2-4) gave up two hits, which came back-to-back in the sixth inning, and struck out seven. With two away in the sixth, Marco Scutaro reached on an infield single to end Millwood's no-hit bid. Jordan Pacheco followed with a single to center, but Scutaro was thrown out trying to reach third base. Kyle Seager singled in a run in the first and had a sacrifice fly in the sixth.
