Chris Capuano shut down the Astros on two hits over seven innings Sunday in the Los Angeles Dodgers' 5-1 verdict over Houston. Capuano (7-1) turned in his eighth start in nine outings in which he's held the opposition to two runs or less. The left-hander yielded one run, walked two and struck out eight in a dominating performance. Jerry Hairston Jr. went 5-for-5 with an RBI while Matt Treanor added two hits with a solo homer for the National League East-leading Dodgers, who took the rubber match of their three-game series and improved to a major league best 32-15. Astros starter J.A. Happ (4-4) struck out 10 over 6 1/3 innings but still absorbed the loss, allowing three runs (two earned) on nine hits over 6 1/3 innings. Jed Lowrie provided Houston's only RBI.
