Clayton Kershaw gave up three hits over eight innings Friday and, with relief help from Kenley Jansen, lifted the Los Angeles Dodgers past Washington 3-2. Kershaw (2-0) allowed a two-run homer to Adam LaRoche in the sixth inning that cut the Nationals' deficit to a lone run, but the Dodgers held on to snap a two-game skid. After winning 14 of their first 18 games this season, the Nationals have lost two in a row. Kershaw (2-0) struck out six and has limited the opposition to two runs on six hits in 15 innings in his last two starts. Andre Ethier gave the Dodgers the lead with a two-run homer in the first and an infield single by Juan Uribe in the fourth brought home Matt Kemp with the other Los Angeles run. Jansen worked a perfect ninth with one strikeout to collect his first save of the season. He had blown his only other save opportunity two weeks ago against San Diego. Ross Detwiler (2-1) was the hard-luck loser, surrendering three runs on five hits in six innings.
