Kendrys Morales went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two of them in a five-run fourth inning Thursday, and the Los Angeles Angels beat Baltimore 9-7. Mike Trout was 2-for-2 with two RBI, two runs scored, three stolen bases and a walk for the Angels, who took the opener of a four-game series. Howie Kendrick had two hits, one RBI and two runs scored for LA, which had won just two of its last six games. Angels' starter Garrett Richards gave up seven runs on 10 hits in 4 1/3 innings -- but LaTroy Hawkins, Kevin Jepsen, Jason Isringhausen, Scott Downs and Ernesto Frieri held the Orioles to one hit the rest of the way. Hawkins (2-1) picked up the victory. Matt Wieters hit a three-run home run and finished with four RBI for Baltimore, which carried a two-game winning streak into the game. Jake Arrieta started for the Orioles, giving up six runs on five hits over 3 2/3 innings. Luis Ayala (2-2) took the loss, after allowing two runs in the fourth.
