Jered Weaver hurled a four-hit shutout for his 15th win of the season Monday, carrying the Los Angeles Angels to a 4-0 victory over division rival Oakland. Weaver (15-1), who leads the major leagues in wins and has won 10 consecutive decisions, including his last nine starts, allowed only one walk while striking out six. The Angels ace pitched his second whitewash of the season -- his first came in a May 2 no-hitter against the Minnesota Twins -- and lowered his ERA to a major league-best 2.13. Erick Aybar went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored and Torii Hunter supplied a two-run single for the Angels, who leapfrogged the A's into the second American League wild card spot. Oakland starter Jarrod Parker (7-6) was touched for four runs on nine hits in a 6 2/3-inning effort, issuing one walk while striking out six. The A's dropped the first contest of a crucial three-game series.
