Clayton Kershaw twirled a five-hit shutout Sunday and the Los Angeles Dodgers completed a three-game sweep of San Francisco with a 4-0 victory. Kershaw (8-6) scattered five hits and yielded one walk in his fifth career whitewash. The left-hander struck out seven, placing 74 of his 116 pitches for strikes and lowering his ERA to 2.95. Luis Cruz rapped two run-producing hits, while Mark Ellis and Hanley Ramirez added RBI as Los Angeles forged a first-place tie with San Francisco atop the National League West. The Dodgers outscored the Giants 19-3 in the series, including two straight shutouts. San Francisco starter Ryan Vogelsong (8-5) was tagged with the loss, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits over six full innings.
