Kris Medlen took a step forward in his comeback from Tommy John surgery Tuesday, pitching the Atlanta Braves to a 7-1 win over Miami. Medlen (2-1) -- who pitched only two games last season and opened the 2012 campaign in the bullpen -- held Miami to one run on four hits over five innings in his first start since 2010 and helped the Braves extend their winning streak to seven.
