Jair Jurrjens allowed three hits over 7 2/3 innings Friday in his first start since April, boosting the Atlanta Braves to a 4-1 triumph over Boston. Jurrjens, who had a winning season in each of his first five years with Atlanta, was ineffective early this season and was sent down to Class AAA. He was recalled this week after starter Brandon Beachy underwent elbow surgery, and dominated the Red Sox in his return to end Boston's five-game winning streak. Jurrjens (1-2) allowed a run while walking one and striking out five. Craig Kimbrel turned in a perfect ninth for his 21st save. Andrelton Simmons highlighted the Atlanta offense with an RBI double in the fourth and a sacrifice fly in the sixth. The Braves won their third in a row. The loss went to Jon Lester (4-5), who surrendered three runs on 10 hits in seven innings.
