Gerardo Parra smashed a grand slam and Ian Kennedy won his third straight decision Sunday in the Arizona Diamondbacks' 6-4 victory over Atlanta. Kennedy drew a bases-loaded walk in the second inning to tie the game 1-1, and the next batter, Parra, launched a 1-0 pitch from Randall Delgado (2-1) over the right field fence for a four-run shot. Kennedy (3-0) logged a win for the third time in four starts to begin the season, holding the Braves to three runs on nine hits over seven frames. The right-hander walked two and struck out five. David Hernandez tossed a scoreless eighth and J.J. Putz earned his fifth save despite yielding a run in the ninth for the D-Backs, who avoided a four-game sweep at the hands of the Braves. Delgado ended up allowing five runs on three hits in a 5 1/3-inning start. Freddie Freeman drove in a pair of runs and Juan Francisco homered for Atlanta, which lost for only the second time in 12 games.
