England fullback Delon Armitage was cited on Monday for a dangerous tackle during his side Toulon's 23-3 defeat by fellow French side Montpellier in their European Cup pool match last Saturday. The 29-year-old - who has had a poor disciplinary record and was suspended four times alone in 2011 - is alleged to have spear tackled Toulon's Pierre Berard, in the first-half of the game, which saw him sin-binned for the offence by Irish referee Alain Rolland. Should Armitage be found guilty of the offence he faces a suspension of between four and 52 weeks. Racing Metro flanker Antoine Battut will also face a European Rugby Cup hearing on Thursday in Dublin for kneeing Donncha O'Callaghan in the head during Sunday's 29-6 defeat by Irish province Munster. Battut, who was sent off by English referee Wayne Barnes, risks anything from a three week to 52 week suspension if found in the wrong. From AFP
