Spain's Alvaro Quiros had a rare hole-in-one at a par-4 in practice for the US Open on Wednesday. The albatross came at the 288-yard seventh hole, a short par-four that tempts players to reach it off the tee following the tough opening six holes at The Olympic Club course. "You need to have luck to play good golf, I think. Unfortunately, it was in a pratice round. But it is a good sign, isn't it?" said 29-year-old Quiros, one of the biggest hitters in world golf, who had a hole-in-one en route to winning the Dubai Desert Classic last year. "Obviously I finished the pratice round with a good feeling, and hopefully I can keep doing these things properly for the rest."
