Athletes from 32 countries will compete in the Ajman International Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championship which which will take place at the Ajman Youth Center, on December 16th and 17th, organisers announced.

Mohammed Humaid Al Dhaheri, member of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, told the media on Thursday that everything was in place to launch the two-day championship.

''Some 308 male fighters and 19 female fighters will compete in the GI games against 147 in the NO-GI games, '' he said.

He indicated that the UAE will have the largest pool of fighters at 175, followed by Brazil at 39.

He noted that the competition is open for all nationalities.
