The Bahraini students national team beat their Brazilian contestant team (1-0) and thus qualified for the semi-finale of beIN Sports Channel (C) Championship in Doha, Qatar.
This participation has received the maximum attention of Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Noaimi who has always been keen on Bahraini presence at external functions to brush up their skills and boost the sentiment of citizenship and national belonging.
The lone goal was scored by 19-year old Mahmood Al Moussawi. Meanwhile, Bahrain's goalkeeper Ali Aashoor won the match's Best Player Award.
Bahrain students' team will have to beat their Moroccan counterpart to qualify for the final match which will be held on Wednesday against the winner of Kuwait vs. France match.
