Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee President and Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Honorary President, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, directed the importance for outstanding preparations for the upcoming 120-kilometre National Day Endurance Championship, to be held as part of the country’s National Day celebrations.
Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad stressed that BREEF will work hard for the success of the third race of the national endurance season, and noted that endurance sport has reached a evolution and development level thanks to the high care and support by His Majesty the King.
Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad pointed out that the participation of the riders for the upcoming race will enhance the strength of competition. He explained that all riders have extensive experience, in addition to high levels showed by the participants in the opening two races of the season.
He welcomed the riders participating from local stables, who will have a strong presence in this event, and pointed out that their participation will be strong and will give the tournament a special taste that will contribute to the success of one of the most precious championship of the season.
He wished all riders and stables the very best for the race, and said he hopes they achieve positive results and advanced positions that will reflect on the large stature.
Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad directed that all organizing committees for National Day Endurance Championship and BREEF members get ready early and ensure proper organisation for the hosting of one of the most important races this season.
On the other hand, BREEF President Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa expressed his satisfaction with the preparations for the National Day Endurance Championship.
He pointed out that this race is considered as one of the most important of the season, and it has great interest and support from BREEF. He added that the directives of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad for early preparations fits the importance of the race. He expects that the event will be strong and will see great competition between the riders and stables participating.
Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid expressed his thanks and appreciation Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad for all his support, and to the efforts of BREEF and its committees in order to ensure the success of the race and take it to a high level in all respects.
Meanwhile, BREEF announced that registration is now open for the National Day Endurance Championship, to be held next Saturday at the Bahrain International Endurance Village, which comes as part of the country’s celebrations of National Day.
