Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad al-Khalifa
Manama - Arab Today

First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS), President of the Bahrain Athletics Association and President of West Asia Athletics Federation (WAAF) Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa has congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, and Chairman of the SCYS and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa on Bahrain’s winning of two medals -a silver medal and a bronze one – during the second Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China.
Shaikh Khalid said that such an historic achievement was the fruitful result of the leadership’s constant support for the youth and sport movement and Shaikh Nasser’s close follow-up.
He noted that the exploit added to Bahrain’s rich record of honourable achievements in athletics, adding that the two medals are a source of pride for the kingdom.
He said the victories of athletes Salwas Nasser and Dalila Abdul Qader proved the distinguished level reached by Bahraini athletes.
