
Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa today arrived in Switzerland to attend the meetings of the FIFA committees which will start tomorrow and will run until September23.
The AFC Chief will take part tomorrow in the meeting of FIFA Marketing and TV Committee which will discuss the drafting and implementation of contracts signed between the international governing body of football and market and TV corporations.
Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa will attend on Wednesday a key meeting which will bring together the heads of football federations in Asia, Africa, Europe, South America, North America and Oceania.
He will also chair on the same day the meeting of the committee in charge of organizing Olympic football tournaments. The panel will discuss key issues featuring on the agenda of the meeting, particularly ongoing preparations ahead of the football championship as part of the Summer Olympic Games, which will be held in Rio De Janeiro in 2016.
The AFC President will also participate in the meetings of FIFA Financial Committee and FIFA Executive Committee on Thursday and Friday.
