Zenit close in on Russian leaders

Roman Shirokov's last-gasp goal ensured Zenit St Petersburg beat Rostov 2-1 to move level on points with Russian Premier League leaders CSKA Moscow. Jan Holenda struck 11 minutes from time to cancel out Vladimir Bystrov's 51st-minute opener for Zenit, who seemed certain to lose touch with the league pace-setters. But Shirokov struck in the last minute to seal a hard-fought victory for the hosts and keep the pressure on CSKA, who have a game in hand. FIFA
