The Ivory Coast international was amazed by their title rivals' collapse against the Toffees and has labelled the upcoming derby as one of the biggest games in the club's history.Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has urged his team-mates to take full advantage of the lifeline offered to them by Manchester United’s unexpected draw with Everton.United threw away a two-goal lead with just five minutes remaining to draw 4-4 at home to the Toffees on Sunday, meaning that City’s subsequent 2-0 win over Wolves left Roberto Mancini’s men trailing their cross-city rivals by just three points.Toure told the press: "United's result was amazing. It was an unbelievable day for us with United dropping points at home. For me, it was strange."We found out about it on the bus on the way to Wolves. It was quite unbelievable and we now have to try and take advantage."We did the first part by beating Wolves but we have to settle down and continue to work hard because United still have three points more than us."Thanks to their superior goal difference, Monday’s Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium now gives City the chance to overtake United with a victory, and Toure believes that this makes it one of the biggest games in the club’s history."We have to play them at home and, if you look at the record of United, they are very strong away and it will be a very difficult test for us," he noted."I think this year the club need to win the cup [league title] and it will be difficult."But we need to win this derby because it will be one of the most important games the club have had."The Ivorian also praised his team for showing the mental resolve to get three points against Wolves after hearing the United result, especially considering what he describes as a lack of experience in the City squad. He added: "People say we looked nervous at stages of the game and we have a lot of young players and not so many experienced ones."When your big rivals drop points at home, and you have to win your game, it is quite difficult."But with the players we have, it can make the difference all of the time with the likes of [Sergio] Aguero, [Carlos] Tevez and [Samir] Nasri, and we did the job."
