Czech Republic midfielder Petr Jiracek has signed a four and a half year deal with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg, his current team Viktoria Plzen have said. "I'm very glad the clubs struck a deal fast. I'm looking forward to the new challenge," the 25-year-old Jiracek said on Viktoria's website. Jiracek, whose physical style has earned him comparisons to former Czech Republic and Juventus star Pavel Nedved, won the Czech title with Plzen last season. He has played five games for the Czech national team, scoring his only goal to date at Montenegro in the UEFA EURO 2012 playoffs and helping the Czechs qualify for the tournament co-hosted by Poland and Ukraine.
