Vieirinha makes Wolfsburg switch

Portuguese forward Vieirinha has signed for Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg from Greek outfit PAOK Salonika on a three-and-a-half-year contract. Along with the 25-year-old striker, Wolfsburg have also added French forward Giovanni Sio, who signed a contract of the same duration. "Giovanni Sio is a talented attacking player who can score goals as both a forward and an attacking midfielder," said Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath. Vieirinha, previously at Porto, and Sio join Czech international midfielder Petr Jiracek, who signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with the 2009 German champions last month.
