Parma's nightmare week continued as they were dumped out of the Coppa Italia by Serie B side Verona tonight. Having lost to struggling Novara at the weekend, they were undone by goals from Nicola Ferrari (37) and Juanito (61) as they slipped to a 2-0 home defeat. Novara, meanwhile, made the most of their momentum to claim a dramatic 3-2 win at Catania. The visitors twice trailed through Davide Lanzafame (three) and Maxi Lopez (70), but got levellers from Pablo Granoche (68) and Riccardo Meggiorini (77). Meggiorini the scored a winner in the last minute to ensure his side progressed to a last 16 clash with AC Milan. Verona will next face Lazio.
