Mauro Zarate (29), Jorge Correa (49) and substitute Ramiro Caseres (73) scored the goals that earned Velez a second win from their three games to lift them above rivals Estudiantes, who host Lanus next. In third place are Tigre, who clinched a 1-0 victory at 10-man Racing Club. Ignacio Canuto scored the only goal of the game in the ninth minute and Racing suffered a late setback in their bid to force a draw when Fernando Ortiz saw red on the stroke of full time. Arsenal Sarandi won for the first time this season by downing Olimpo 2-0 at the Estadio Roberto Natalio Carminatti.
