Franck Tabanou scored the only goal as Toulouse took all three points at home against Auxerre, which left Ligue 1's bottom club still searching for their first win since the start of the year. Toulouse dominated the opening exchanges, but efforts from Tabanou, Moussa Sissoko and Emmanuel Riviere failed to test Olivier Sorin in the Auxerre goal. With 30 minutes gone, Toulouse continued to dominate but when Pavel Ninkov crossed from the right Riviere's header was straight into the arms of Sorin.. The home side deservedly took the lead seven minutes before half-time as Adrien Regattin found Tabanou with a ball from the right. Tabanou took his time to control the ball before powering a left-footed shot beyond Sorin and into the top corner of the goal. Auxerre had their first sight of goal three minutes into the second half, but Alain Traore's shot from distance was well wide of the goal. The visitors came more into the game as Toulouse appeared content to use the pace of Tabanou and Regattin on the counter-attack. Auxerre's Roy Contout then worked some space in the Toulouse area, but his shot was well wide of the goal. With five minutes to go Auxerre pressed once more, but when Sebastian Grichting crossed a dangerous ball into the area nobody was able to get the final touch for the visitors. A minute later Toulouse's Daniel Braathen picked out Sissoko on the right and his cross was almost put into his own net by defender Willy Boly. In stoppage time, Toulouse went close to finding a second when Braathen fed Sissoko but he fired the ball over from inside the area.
