The Uruguayan has hailed the recent improvement of the former Newcastle United forward and says his work in the air helps his smaller team-mates to flourish.Luis Suarez has praised Liverpool striker partner Andy Carroll, following his recent upturn in form. The striker has suffered with indifferent form since his £35 million move from Newcastle United in January 2011, but his late, headed goal against Everton last weekend propelled the Reds into the FA Cup final.Suarez believes the 23-year-old’s aerial prowess offers an alternate option for his Reds team-mates and revealed he relishes playing alongside the England international. He told Liverpool’s official website: “I think it's great for us to have a player of his ability and style.“His height and his ability in the air and to bring the ball down makes it easy for us smaller forwards in the side to link up with him.“You only have to be running alongside him and you find the ball at your feet.”Carroll’s goal at Wembley last Saturday was the forward’s 10th since arriving at Anfield nearly 16 months ago, and Suarez is certain that figure will rise as he continues to improve.“I think he's showing that his technique on the ground has really come on,” he added.“And I think in the games where he has featured recently we are now seeing the Andy that we've all been wanting to see and he's really contributing, which is important.”Reds boss Kenny Dalglish believes Carroll, who has been the match-winner for Liverpool in two consecutive games now, is swelling in confidence and is glad he kept faith in him.The Scot said: “The goals have been good for him and his confidence.“He has always believed in his own ability and that is what we say about everyone who has come in or who has been here a while.“We believe in them and if they believe in us and we all stick together we are in with a good chance. I don't see any reason why we would have to change that principle or train of thought.”
