The six edition of Schools Olympic Program (SOP) under the theme “Sport and Investment” featured several sports events in the third week. Around 6000 students (boys and girls) have articipate in volleyball, basketball, handball and football competitions. The competitions will be resumed after Eid Al-Adha holiday as Tennis competitions will begin on November 04, 2012. On occasion of Eid Al-Adha, the officials and participants in the sixth edition of SOP are pleased to congratulate HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, praying to Allah the Almighty to recur this occasion with blessing and prosperity for the Qatari people. On the other hand, The football competitions for boys’ primary schools continued on Wednesday at the playgrounds of QFA Technical Committee. In South of Doha Group, Ummsaaed School defeated Sri Lankan School 5-1 while Iranian School outplayed Indian Islamic 4-1 and Ali bin Abi Talib School downed Middle East School 7-0. Moreover, Newton School outclassed Doha Indian School 3-0 and Doha Primary School beat Global Academy 3-0. The matches of middle of Doha Group were held at Al-Sadd SC as Al-Yarmook School overpowered Indian School 5-3 and Omer bin Al-khatab thrashed Mohammad bin Jassim School 3-0 while Egyptian Language School downed Pack Shamaa School 3-0. Additionally, Khalid bin Ahmad School defeated Al-Noor Private School 6-0 while Hamza in Abdulmotaleb School registered a 8-1 victory over Wisdom International School.
