Australia moved to second in Group B of Asian qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ with a 2-1 win over Iraq in Doha. Substitute Alaa Abdul-Zehra put Zico's side ahead at the Grand Hamad Stadium against the run of play in the 72nd minute. Australia came back through headers from Tim Cahill in the 80th minute and substitute Archie Thompson in the 84th minute. Australia, who have appeared in the past two FIFA World Cup finals, leapfrog Jordan in the standings as the Jordanians, who beat the Socceroos in their previous match, lost 2-1 to Oman earlier on Tuesday.
