FC Seoul maintained their five-point advantage at the top of the K-League's Champions Group with a 3-2 win over Pohang Steelers. The home side trailed to a 19th-minute penalty from Hwang Jisu, but equalised through Ha Daesong after 40 minutes before two goals from Dejan Damjanovic put them in the driving seat. Park Sungho replied in the closing seconds for Pohang but it was too little, too late. Jeonbuk Motors continued to put pressure on the leaders with a 2-1 win over Gyeongnam. Kang Seungjo fired Gyeongnam in front after 16 minutes from the spot, but Jeonbuk turned the match around through Lee Donggook and Lee Sunghyun. In the relegation group, Gangwon remain at the foot of the standings after a 1-0 defeat by Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma, with Kim Sungjoon scoring the only goal after 14 minutes. Daejeon Citizen and Incheon United shared a 1-1 draw. Lee Youngpyo broke the deadlock for Incheon after 56 minutes but that was cancelled out by Kim Byungsuk 11 minutes later. The teams who finished in the top eight placings at the end of the regular season are fighting it out for the title, while the bottom eight are battling to avoid the two relegation places. FIFA
