Schalke agreed today to loan Czech midfielder Jan Moravek to relegation-threatened Bundesliga rivals Augsburg until the end of the season. Augsburg for their part announced that Michael Thurk had had his contract terminated because the 35-year-old striker, scorer of 51 goals in 104 appearances, had irreconcilable differences with coach Jos Luhukay. Moravek, 22, has failed to make it since signing from Bohemians Prague in 2009 and was loaned out to Kaiserslautern. He has started just six matches this term for Schalke. Augsburg have found the net just 15 times in 17 matches and are second from bottom three points adrift of safety.
