Sampaoli appointed Chile coach

Argentinian Jorge Sampaoli was appointed coach of the Chilean national team on Monday replacing compatriot Claudio Borghi who left the post last month. Sampaoli, 52, has been tasked with securing Chile's place at the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ which sees them lying in sixth place in the CONMEBOL qualifying table after the side lost three in a row, following a bright start to the campaign.
