Portuguese champions Porto on Monday announced that Paulo Fonseca will be their new coach after the departure of Vitor Pereira. The 40-year-old Fonseca, who last season steered unfancied Pacos de Ferreira to third spot in the league, has signed a two-year deal, Porto said in a statement to the Portuguese stock exchange. Fonseca became a coach in 2005 after a playing career with Maritimo de Funchal, Belenenses and Vitoria de Guimaraes. Pereira, who won two Primeira Liga titles with Porto, on Sunday announced he was joining Saudi club Al-Ahli. Source: AFP
