Pinto extends Barça contract

Barcelona goalkeeper Jose Manuel Pinto has signed a one-year contract extension which ties him to the club until 30 June 2014. The 37-year-old, who is the back-up goalkeeper to Victor Valdes, follows in the footsteps of team-mates Lionel Messi, Xavi and Carles Puyol who have also penned contract extensions in recent weeks. Pinto signed a permanent contract at Barça in 2008 following a short loan spell. His appearances have mainly been restricted to the Copa Del Rey, playing in three finals of the competition, winning the 2009 and 2012 editions.
