Cameroon international defender Andre Bikey has signed a one-year contract with Panetolikos, the Greek Super League team said Monday. The 28-year-old left English Championship outfit Middlesbrough in the summer after just one season at the club after not being offered a new contract. Having begun his career in Spain in Espanyol's B team he played in Portugal and Russia before moving to England to join Reading on loan in 2006. A permanent deal with Reading followed and he scored his first English Premier League goal in a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea in August 2007. Reading were relegated in 2008 and the following season lost in the Championship play-offs to Burnley, who went on to earn promotion to the Premier League. Bikey joined Burnley that summer, although they were relegated at the end of the season and he continued his career in the Championship, where he also had spells with Bristol City and Middlesbrough. He was a Cameroon international from 2006-2010, making 25 appearances and scoring one goal. From : FIFA
