Goran Pandev's late strike lifted Napoli to a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Cesena and a place in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia. Cesena, who in contrast to Napoli have struggled to find their form this season, stunned the Stadio San Paolo when Stefan Popescu fired them in front after 20 minutes but Napoli's star frontman Edinson Cavani levelled 20 minutes into the second period. The match appeared to be drifting towards extra time before second-half substitute Pandev's 86th-minute intervention secured his side's place in the last eight where they will face Inter Milan or Genoa.
