FC Augsburg have confirmed the signing of Germany Under-21 defender Matthias Ostrzolek from second division side Vfl Bochum. The 21-year-old left-sided defender has signed a three-and-a-half year contract, and joins for an undisclosed fee. "I am delighted to get a commitment from Matthias Ostrzolek," coach Jos Luhukay told the club's website. Ostrzolek said: "I was born in Bochum and at Vfl Bochum for 14 years, so my departure was not easy. I am most grateful to Bochum for my time there and my education there. But with this move I get a chance to play in the Bundesliga and this is why I did it."
